First you must thorougly rinse your mouth to reduce any bacteria that may be present. We use a Antibacterial, alcohol-free mouthrinse for all oral piercings.
Next the tongue is dried and the desired location is marked. Tongues vary from person to person and your piercer determine a comfortable location and and barbell long enough to accomodate for any post piercing swelling (see aftercare.)
Once marked, the area is clamped in preperation for the piercing.
The needle is then placed into position.
